— Who We Are

The home of Trinidad & Tobago's performing arts.

NAPA was founded as both a national landmark and a working stage — an architectural tribute to the steelpan and a year-round home for theatre, orchestra, dance, and the spoken word.

From the Trinidad & Tobago Symphony Orchestra to revivals of Walcott's plays, from the Youth Pan Academy to international tours, NAPA is where the Caribbean's voice finds its instrument — and where audiences come to hear it answer back.

I · Mission

To present, produce and protect the performing arts of Trinidad & Tobago.

We commission new work, host the country's leading companies, and steward the building as a public stage open to every part of the nation.

II · Vision

The Caribbean's most ambitious cultural stage.

A venue worthy of the artists, audiences and traditions of Trinidad & Tobago — recognised regionally as a centre of excellence for theatre, orchestra, steelpan and dance.

III · Values

Excellence. Access. Heritage.

World-class production standards, programming open to every community, and a deep responsibility to the artistic heritage of our two islands.

The Building

Four stages under two iconic domes.

From the 1,500-seat Lord Kitchener Auditorium to the reconfigurable Experimental Theatre, each space was tuned for a different kind of performance — acoustics, sightlines, fly towers, and sprung floors chosen purpose-by-purpose.
